Opening of the Beaches Parade

We're excited to host the annual "Opening of the Beaches" parade, part of the "Opening of the Beaches Weekend!

Join us in Jacksonville Beach on April 26th at 2:00 pm.

We can't wait to celebrate our amazing beach community with family and friends!

The parade will take place in the heart of Jacksonville Beach. The parade will start at 5th Ave N and 2nd Street.

Once started,the parade will travel north to 11th Avenue North and 2nd Street, then turn East towards the ocean. Once the parade reaches
1st Street, it will turn south and travel all the way to Beach Blvd where it will reach its conclusion.

All City parking lots will be open (paid parking will still be enforced) on Saturday, April 25th. All City lots will be closed at 6:00 am on Sunday, April 26th. Paid parking will resume at 4:00 pm following the completion of the parade. Avenues from Beach Blvd to 5th Avenue N, including 1st and 2nd streets, will be closed by police beginning at 9:30 am on Sunday, April 26th. This will be the staging area for the parade.

Deliveries for business should avoid Sunday at all costs. Once the police department shuts down the parade area, entry into the lots and streets mentioned above will be for emergency use only.
