On Wednesday, April 30, the National Recreation and Parks Association, in partnership with the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration, announced Florida State Parks as a finalist for the prestigious National Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management. Florida State Parks is the only state park system in the nation to have won four National Gold Medals. Florida previously won the Gold Medal Award in 1999, 2005, 2013 and 2019.
